Product Information

Lumines comes to PS2 in Lumines Plus, following the success of the original release on PSP. The console version adds new "skins" and a head-to-head battle mode for competition against the computer or another player. Produced by innovative rhythm game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Space Channel 5, Rez), Lumines is an action puzzle that sets Tetris-style block-packing to the groove of music.<br><br>The game pieces are small blocks in two colors. Four-block squares -- usually containing blocks of both colors -- drop from the top of the screen, and the goal is to arrange them to create rectangular patterns of four or more blocks of the same color as the pieces pile up at the bottom of the screen. A "timeline" rhythmically sweeps left-to-right across the screen and clears away any color-matched rectangles, causing the remaining pieces to drop. <br><br>As in Tetris, if the pile of blocks stacks up to the top of the screen, the game ends. As the game progresses, pieces fall more quickly from the top of the screen, while the block-clearing "timeline" does not move any faster. This reduces the speed at which individual blocks can be removed from the playfield, but increases the possibilities for high-scoring, single-swipe combos. The PSP's Lumines supports two-player competition through a wireless connection.

    the reflection distracts play from finding them squares

    i like that the music kept me playing even though my eyes are hurting from too much illumination of like, club lights?..i wanted my son to play E games that doesnt have any violence in it,but this one doesnt shed blood nor promote violent words but it did gave my son bloody red eyes..i tried it twice and i just had to stop,too much colorful lights will get me another visit to my vision Doc...if your looking for a game that would tire your eyes,makes you rather just want to sleep,this is recommended...in fact,i finally found a game that would make my son stop and go straight to bed..just mute the volume-since as i mention it will kept you playing,the light illumination in this Lumines game is better than counting sheep to sleep...parents must buy one esp. for kids who wants to finish evry ...

    Awesome puzzle game

    This is a great puzzle game, if you like Tetris. I have Lumines 2 for the PSP which is more advanced and has added features. However, all of those are style additions. This has sll of the game features and is a great puzzle game.

    Lumines Plus is a great cheap Playstation 2 game

    This is great collection for any PS2 or PS3 owner. Its very cheap and very addicting :) It was a port of the original Lumines for the PSP, which is a rhythem puzzle game similar to frequency and tetris. Highly recommended item to get.
