Installed on a PVM switch and it works great on both computers. I like Logitech because of the encryption between the receiver and the devices. Mouse and keyboard have on/off switches to save the battery if needed. To get the full use of the combo you should install the setpoint software because there are no lights to tell if numbers lock and caps lock is on or off. The keyboard types rather well and the mouse tracks great.

I have placed the Bluetooth plug on the back of the laptop's docking bay, and it seems to not like that and has a slow response to the keyboard. I then moved it to the front and it improved, but every now and then it just locks up, stops typing, and then suddenly catches up. This action is very disrupting, and defeats the nicety of the wireless functionality. I would like to see this issue resolved in newer software if possible.

Works out of the box once battery’s installed and “extra” Windows 8 software is down loaded from Logitech web site. Well the good stuff about the K520 combo. Looks good in black with a solid feel when not moved around. It creaks when carried and when used as a wrist rest. My hands and fingers are not large but it feels a little small on the bottom side of the wrist rest. It is very good in low light typing (white on black keypads) and small led for cap lock is a plus. This keyboard is way better than my stock keyboard from Dell wit the touch pad In the center always giving me trouble typing. I notice after typing a couple of mins the keystroke is short but the bottom out is very soft to my fingers. Working the mouse is not too bad. It will work wit my left or right hand without any problems. The best part is the wheel. Move the wheel slow….. the page moves slow… Move the wheel fast .. It zooms.. Wow, not bad for a mice. Almost forgot… The download feature… (after downloading) you can change the “fn” keys to something else.. I think its the bomb. Aloha From MauiRead full review
My wife lost her mouse and receiver from a Logitech MK360 Wireless 2.4 GHz Keyboard and Mouse combo. I replaced the mouse, but wasn't able to pair her old keyboard to either a Unifying or Nano receiver. This K520 keyboard offered here a full sized keyboard similar to the now useless one, with the added option of having Logitech's awesome unifying receivers.

I've used the K520 keyboard & mouse combo ever since they came out. Others I'm sure have their choices they prefer. I was looking for another for another system, Saw this & the value it is at a fair price. Some wireless key boards use up batteries quickly but the AA's in the K520 seem to last about 10 months to a year, & the same for the mouse.
