    Pantech Pursuit II

    The phone was billed as PINK...but it was green instead. That was not a problem, however, because it was replacing a green phone. It works fine for all the functions I have tested. The one complaint I have is that the listing said, "some blemishes on the front screen nothing deep." There is on pretty long scratch (about 2") that I would describe as "deep." If I had seen a picture of the actual phone I received, I might not have purchased it, or would have asked for a discounted price.

    Good text &MMS phone.

    For those who want an easy, Qwerty, texting phone (& not a smartphone) this will work just fine. Calls are in good quality & texting is much easier on this phone than any other previous phone I had. The BREW OS handles things reasonably well, though not nearly as full features as Android or even Blackberry. There are some games (limited) & picture taking with the push of a side-mounted button. This phone has had issues recognizing Bluetooth signals probably due to some non-standard Bluetooth firmware installed. And video quality is poor. Overall, its good at calls, pictures, & texting. If you need more, get a smartphone.

    One of the best phones I have had and excellent value for the money!

    I love this little phone, it is the perfect size and fits perfectly in my pocket. It has excellent call quality both coming to and from the phone, very nice touch screen that is not overly sensitive and great qwerty keyboard that I am able to type on quickly. The battery life is good, and only needs to be charged every two days or so. The ring and message tones are loud enough for me to hear even in a noisy atmosphere. I have had other Pantech phones (Link 2) and I was never able to hear the text message tone and missed many important texts. I would definitely recommend this phone for someone who doesn't necessarily need a smart phone but would like a phone that has enough cool features and for the occasional use of the web or Facebook, etc. I don't use it to go on line much but when I do, ...

    Buy something newer that can accept updates

    I have owned this phone for less than a week and can't stand it. It has been trying to do a software update since day 1. It cannot connect and retries every 8 hours - including during the night. I now have to put the phone on silent when I go to bed so I don't hear it try to make the update. This is annoying and makes it bad in case I get an emergency call from my parents. I took it to an AT&T store. They said since it was so old, the towers aren't communicating with it right to do the update. And there is no way to stop it. Battery life is also horrible. Even when I barely use the internet, I lose a bar. I'm having to leave it plugged in most of the day. With my old phone, I went several days. I am trying to return.
