I bought this as an upgrade from my Gen 1 Samsung Odyssey. My review is biased from that perspective. Pros: - Updated flexible interface with USB C or A, and Displayport/MiniDisplayport - Updated inside-out hand tracking does a decent job with what used to be 'blind spots' ie. with one's hands' at one's sides. Tracking can still be wonky if you move your hands near your face, but motions like throwing are much improved over past generation inside-out tracking headsets. No need for sensors in your house and you can take your VR on the go if you want. :) - CRYSTAL CLEAR picture with zero screen-door effect. If your computer can handle it, upscaling can make the image even more incredible. - Straight-to-steamVR launching is a nice feature (over-advertised, but still convenient!) Cons: - Steam VR will by default make the resolution much higher than it should be for most apps. You ought to start with the Custom Resolution set to ~2160px given this headset's panels are square in aspect ratio. - Required many tweaks found on blog posts to get running optimally on titles like Half-Life Alyx, Beat Saber, and Bonelab. Not as plug-and-play as my old Odyssey - The controllers are missing touchpads and any sort of next-gen feature to make up for them... I'm personally using my Odyssey controllers to ensure I can play most titles on SteamVR hassle-free. They paired right out of the box to the Reverb :) - Dark colors do not truly render as 'black'...they're more of a light grey. It's not a deal breaker. - FOV is more constrained than some competing headsets and even the past generation (Samsung Odyssey). This can be somewhat alleviated by 'upgrading' the faceplate with an aftermarket one. I made this upgrade and personally have found it worth the price for my skull shape/size. - As with all headsets I've used, these still require a pretty sensitive sweet-spot in order to see the clearest picture - No volume buttons on the headset Read full review

This vr headset is great quality and high res with great response. It was a good value. The controllers are larger than my previous setup but the seem to work better. I did need to get the headgear adjusted right or the picture was bliry.

The Headset resolution is great. And also very comfortable, good built quality. But the controllers are horrible, especially the tracking. I use it mostly for flight ✈️ simulator and use other VR headsets for other games. THE Battery life has to be improved upon. Despite the fact that it uses 2 AA batteries, still doesn't last long. Perhaps I'll suggest the light around the controllers be removed. And the size of the controllers be reduced.

It's effectively brand new for 1/3rd of retail price. The box was dinged a bit, but it was untouched inside, and and still had protective film over the lenses!

Product came as described, plastic and everything with no visible wear, like new. If I didn't know better I wouldn't even know it was used. The headset itself has good clarify -which was most important to me - and runs very well on an rtx 4080. Haven't played many games that use the motion controllers as I'm mostly using it for racing simulator but tracking seems to work well enough. My only minor complaint is that the fit makes the ridge of my nose a bit sore after extended use but it's not bad
