one of the last digital cameras to have an actual viewfinder,, instead of the large digital screen which is useless in sunshine,,, that's why I keep purchasing this type...

I thought this was the only camera compatible with my software so I specifically wanted the Kodak C340 Easyshare. This time the camera is actually in good condition and works well. I purchased one last year from EBay and it was trash.

,ve had my E-zshare C340 camera and printer dock since they first came out. It was a gift from my son. I can not only upload my pixs directly to my computer but also print out hard copies immeadiately (yeah, my computer's printer can do that too); but I can't take my computer and printer with me when I travel. The Easyshare camera & printing dock go with me everywhere. I'm also able to leave copies of my pixs with my family & friends without the wait. Would I buy another should this one faulter through E-bay? Yes! So, as long as there's printer paper and ink cartrigdes available, I will continue to use my Easyshare, because I love sharing my pictures.
A pioneer in improved Kodak digital cameras, this is a great camera for beginners or someone who takes casual photos of events. It's sturdy, simple but archaic design is very durable. It has multiple functions that are easy to understand. Battery life is good with simple alkaline batteries, a cost saver as opposed to newer cameras. It does however have the draw back of only supporting a 1, 2 or 4g memory card, which I find more than adequate for a beginner or casual photographer. I GREAT buy for the price. I have always trusted Kodak, I own several models of their cameras. I plan on giving one to friend who takes family event photos for their birthday.
Kodak broke the mold when they made this camera. For a point and shoot, the detail is awesome! The jps are NOT overly compressed like Kodak's very similar 12MP camera. I took a picture with a similar 12MP and this camera which is 5.1MP side by side and THIS camera had a HIGHER detail. Most points and shoots suck, but this one sucks less. Its average jpeg is about 2MB. The similar 12MP camera had .3MB jpgs. With THIS camera you loose MUCH less detail because the compression is lower, the CMOS pixels are bigger. This was Kodak's probably last GOOD point and shoot. All the other ones suck! Don't buy a point and shoot unless you can see the ACTUAL pictures it took. The ones this one take will probably beat all the rest. My ONLY gripe is that there is NO autofocus, but it does have multiple focus fields (at least 2). But you have to make sure what you WANT to be focused is locked on. Auto focus may not work at all in low light. If you are looking for a point and shoot, this is the one I'd buy, even over a 12MP point and shoot!Read full review
Easy to use and picture quality is excellent.

The printer only prints 1/2 the pic. I tried using a you tube tutorial to fix it, but it was different enough from the one in the tutorial that the fix did not work. This printing issue is the reason I needed a new one in the first place. Guess I'll keep looking.

Exactly as described. Works fine. Haven't really used it much but it all seems to be working. I bought this camera as a backup for a camera that is identical. I had all the operators manual and knew how to operate this camera. Since I could get this second camera at a good purchase price - I bought it also. Having a camera in your vehicle is usefull at times so that is what I do? This make it work out fine for me. This camera meets my requirements. Thanks
Still works for its age.Thanks
