This is a beautiful strap with the workmanship quality you would expect with a Martin name on it. It smells really good too. The leather is thick and fairly stiff. It is distressed as expected. The leather does scratch very easily - even with a fingernail. I guess you could say this just contributes to the distressed image but to some that may be debatable. The leather quality itself is probably not the top-most quality, but Martin really made it work as a top-notch product. My Favorite Guitar Strap
This strap is made of thick, and fairly stiff leather... also it is a good width (I do not like really wide straps). It is a very nice color that give it that vintage look. If you like really soft straps like cloth or sheepskin leather, you may not like this strap.
