One of the best cameras for APS film
This is my 3rd canon film camera I have bought recently, but my first APS canon camera. Not that I am new to APS , I had an old Kodak APS Camera which recently failed so this camera is the replacement. The camera is much like my other canon SLR and DSLR cameras. Nice layout and easy to use, especially if your user to using canon SLR cameras. Sadly APS died in 2011 but let's hope film does not die anytime soon. Well, if your reading this none of that matters! APS is still available and most places will develop it at a higher price than 35mm. What I like: it is the apex or quite close of Canon's lengendary film technology. It takes advantage of all the APS innovations while keeping workflow as familiar as ever. The body will take any EOS lens, so that investment you have been working years to aquire is as useful as ever. I chose the EOS IX rather than the EOS IX Lite because of the metal lens mount and the higher shutter speed (1/4000 of a sec vs 1/2000 for the IX Lite). I also like the ability to override the ASA encoded on the cartridge. Finally, it is really fun to shoot! Things I don't like: No provision for multiple exposures. You know...it is just as big as most of the ... Well, if your reading this none of that matters! APS is still available and most places will develop it at a higher price than 35mm. Lightweight that does Heavyweight Job
This camera takes wonderful pictures, is fast, very lightweight & offers a lot of optional settings or use manually. Does the job that the Rebel or Elan does, can use the same lens, but is easier to carry for distance. I also like the C, H & Panoramic options. Only downside is APS film. It's getting harder to find & may not give the same quality as a 35mm film is sizes over 8x12.This camera takes wonderful pictures, is fast, very lightweight & offers a lot of optional settings or use manually.
