The picture quality is really good, but the controls and settings are not as intuitive as the I1036 model. Still, for a lower price camera, it's fairly easy to use, but definitely not a child's camera. It powers on and off very quickly. It's light-weight and slim and easily carried in a purse or shirt pocket so it's right at your fingertips if you want a quick pic of something. The optical zoom is fast and macro (extreme closeup) photos are sharp and clear.
I've never had a digital camera, so I checked all the consumer sites and narrowed my options to 4 cameras. I got a great deal on this and, even though it was used, it is in impecable shape. The only problem I have is I only received the "quickie" manual and it has so many options, you really do need the full manual. It's lightweight, doesn't seem to drink batteries, and takes amazing pictures. The large screen display make it really easy to review your pics without trying to squint or find your glasses. It even self-adjusts if your focus isn't great...The pic's are amazingly sharp. I had never used the video feature, (and didn't really know it was even there), and mistakenly took a short video of a pet that I decided to keep. Very cool. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who's looking for a simple, point-and-shoot digital camera. I don't know how it transfers pics on the internet...I've tried to send several and the file attachment is too large. There's a way to reduce the file size, but that's another reason I need the manual. I would absolutely buy again.Read full review
The other day I was complimenting my niece on some of her pictures when she told me that they were taken from the camera that I had given her last year. I had no idea that it was such a great camera. She just had a baby and she takes at least one picture a day. They are the clearest pictures that I have ever seen. She gets a of lot of compliments on the clarity of her pictures. My son in law was also impressed; last week when he went out of town he borrowed my niece's camera and was very happy with the result. He also has a baby and I know that new parents can't stop taking pictures of their babies, therefore, I got him an identical one to use during his travels and to keep souvenirs of his first child and my first grandchild.
Not a bad camera, though it does use up your batteries even if you have good brand batteries. It has a slight lag when shifting from image to image. I like how it feels so lightweight and comfortable in your hands, and the picture quality is fantastic! The good thing about being battery operated is that it can be very convenient on the go when you have no access to any outlets or cars for charging.
I am overall very impressed with the polaroid I1035. I have only one gripe it chews through batteries like candy. However an easy fix if you buy rechargeables. The camera has many features to include special effects. It even has recording capabilities. I've had it for over a month and have not played with all the backgrounds and lighting options. It takes very beautiful photos. I bought the camera to photograph detailed bead art to display in catalogs or on art oriented web sites. It works very well for that purpose and would do well in many other applications.
