Awsome HD quality sound and picture
This Recorder is a newer model and has a HDMI out which makes it great for use on the newer HDMI T.V. and the recording reproduction is HD quality I use it for recording DVD of the band and through my converter box I can get full screen and super quality sound form it

decent unit

Awesome unit that works with many features I like.
I was amazed when this unit read my discs that had not been finalized by old failed unit this replaces. (Was not a Toshiba unit) It tells you how many minutes are left blank on your disc whenever you pause the recording to remove commercials. The remote is not top notch intuitive for me yet, but I attribute that to leaning on my part. Pauses and re-records are almost instantaneous which is a new experience for me. I do get blue screen error message on disc done on old unit but I suspect it should finalize what I have added and play fine. Has multiple programs on same disc. Even though extremely pricey by todays standards I would buy an identical one to this. Makes me think I should look for another for when I wear this one out.. LOL..
