About this product

Product Information

Steve Irwin braves the deep blue sea in this last documentary featuring the beloved adventurer. In OCEAN'S DEADLIEST, Irwin and Philippe Cousteau (Jacques Cousteau's grandson) travel to Australia, whose oceans are home to the world's most dangerous creatures. As they search for Australia's most fearsome animal, the pair encounters a variety of aquatic creatures. They wrestle a giant saltwater crocodile, observe a great white shark from behind the bars of a dive cage, and learn about the venomous sea snakes. Featuring narration from Cousteau, this film was shot during the mission on which Irwin was fatally wounded by a stingray.

  • Ocean's Deadliest

    I purchased this for my 8 year old son who has idolized Steve Irwin since he was a toddler. Actually, our whole family adore him. Unfortunately, his untimely and tragic death is a loss we mourn always. Knowing that this was his last project prior to his passing makes this work more special than it was already deemed. It adds to the large collection of DVDs and tapes we own that Steve Irwin has memorialized. As in all his documentaries,it is well done and holds important information which was rightly passed along and brought to public awareness. We are thankful to have them as reminders of his dedication and contribution to all animals and our planet and hope that his name and legacy live on.

  • This Documentary Was Done Exceptionally Well

    I bought this item because after watching the original telecast which was on both Animal Planet as well as The Discovery Network, I just fell in love with it and really wanted to have it for my very own collection. The thing I really liked most about this show was that feeling of being right there in the center of it all. It really touched me that I was watching Steve Irwin's last documentary and that in His last film, His friends were right there with Him doing whatever they could for Him before his time of passing. It just goes to show that You never really know who your true friends are until you are seriously in need of help. Even though it didn't show what had actually happened to Him, I knew what happened long before the film had been released. I definately give this film a thumbs ...

  • Ocean's Deadliest

    It is bittersweet to watch Steve Irwin in this video, but Steve is true to form keeping everything interesting. Steve meets up with Philippe Cousteau to explore creatures in the sea and explains their habitats and why they are dangerous.

  • A+++++

    My heart breaks while i watch this knowing it was moments before such a treasured life ended. I am glad to know his life ended quickly.. while doing what he loved...dealing with animals. My students know as much as possible about this animal lover... and respect animals as a result.
