The GPU is a strong processor that can work in tandem with an Intel or an AMD CPU to power the graphical user interface of a demanding application.The Radeon video card sports a compact profile and runs with 80 stream processors at a core clock speed of 650 MHz. It utilizes 1GB of DDR3 SDRAM, and the 32-bit memory interface has a memory clock speed of 1066 MHz. With this kind of Radeon hardware, users can take advantage of parallel processing to power the smooth operation of games and applications. The AMD Radeon graphics adapter utilizes DirectX 11 software to assist in processing tasks on computers running Windows 7 or other operating systems as well. The Radeon is designed for use on motherboards equipped with PCI Express 2.1 x 16 slots and can run in tandem with other graphics adapter units if users desire even more power.
