Not only can this model deliver musical tones that rattle windows and walls, it also has the ability to put forth lows that are accurate and tight.The patented digital amplifier technology gives it a 150-watt RMS amp that drives the down-firing 10-inch woofer so it can produce the same type of powerful bass level impacts as experienced at cinemas without receiver distortion. Even when used on high volume, heat buildup is not a problem with these subs. JBL PB10 are capable of providing a frequency response range between 27 Hz and 150 Hz. The control panel includes inputs selector, subwoofer cut frequency, subwoofer phase, and a volume adjuster. Its power source is an AC power adapter that connects to the back panel. Behind the panel, there are three connectors that include an audio line-in, speaker input, and speaker output port. Harman is the manufacturer and copyright owner for JBL brands, which allows the user to relish the world-class craftsmanship of Harman and sublime technology of JBL.For users who like a deep authoritative bass, they will also love optional features. For instance, the rear panel of JBL PB10 includes frequency setting and controls which allow users to switch off the low pass signal filtering. By switching off the low sound frequency, the equipment automatically protects the device from filtering out frequency, twice.Similarly, low frequencies that can sometimes cause damage to main speakers can also be managed. Numerous tests have also shown that these speakers can detect the lowest rumbles of popular audio and video media that are otherwise difficult to discern. In fact, users will also notice the difference when playing videos from Realtek HD Audio Driver, Google, or social websites, such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. In some cases, using two subs instead of a single sub in the home theater setup becomes necessary. Under these circumstances, connecting two JBL PB10 may be a good idea, particularly when the area is very large or the room is not suited to acoustics.     Powerfull Sub with great responce @ modest price

    This is a fairly powerful Sub-woofer 150 watts of power, with an outstanding frequency range 27Hz-150Hz I have not found one with this low of a range no matter how large until you get into a very high priced sub-woofer. This sub-woofer is a very compact size @ 14"W x 15"D X 16"H The Bass on this Sub Thumps it is very tight not mushy. It complements my system nicely. I am using it with the following equipment. 1ea.     JBL still makes great stuff - but this ain't it.

    This sub work fine out of the box but on average only lasts 3 to 4 years. The issue is with cheap electrolytic capacitors used in the power supply - they burst and leak all over the circuit board. Harmon used this same, crummy class-D amp in most of their powered subs during this period, so you will see the same failures in the Infinity speakers as you do with JBL. This failure is so common, that there are ebay vendors who specialize in the repair. AVOID....
