    Time Well Spent

    This is a pro camera. It will take time to learn what it can do and it’s menu systems. If you spend the time getting to know this camera, you won’t regret it. The low light, auto focus and auto ND are exceptional. This is the best documentary camera on the market in my opinion and is more than capable of putting out stellar narrative film work too.

    A near perfect camera

    The SONY FX6 has been my main camera, after a 20 year career as a Director / DP this is the camera system I ended up with to PURCHASE. Along with my FX3, we can add FX9s to make an incredible camera system for a series with the most affordable flexibility, believe. I use the SONY FX system across all media - broadcast, commercial, content and built my lens package of FE GMs. The GMs on this system opens up incredible autofocus among other things. I have been using a lot of this lately on interviews and documentaries where my subject pops in and out slightly with critical focus which I need to manual adjust. This autofocus really works about 1000x better than I ever thought it would and has allowed me to put my mental energy in other directions.
