    Very good seller. Item was as described (and pictured!!), item arrived on time. Packaging is very, very secure, like a matryoshka doll. Despite this though, USPS, somehow, some way, managed to damage the item and its 50 layers of bombproof packaging, which is to say slightly worse than the average USPS experience. The seller was quick to refund the item, and offered another at a reduced price. The next item came in even more absurdly secure packaging, and managed to come through USPS unscathed.

    Made an old, slow, frustrating desktop into a perfectly usable computer

    Asked to resurrect an old Compaq sr5223WM (circa 2007) into something usable, I increased the RAM from 1 to 2 GB and installed Windows 10 32 bit (replacing Vista). The CPU was an AMD Sempron 3600+, a single core processor that ran a little bit faster than 1.8 MHz. Even with the additional RAM and the installation of a much better OS, the computer still ran slow. So I replaced the CPU with the AMD Athlon 64 x2 4800+, which has two cores with each core running at 2.5 MHz. Wow ... the performance of the computer is much, much faster, and the computer runs quickly enough to be used for "Surfing the Net", Email, Word Processing ... the usual things done on a desktop computer. Of course this is not a "Game" machine ... it was never built to be such, but it works well doing the things this ...

    Enough Processing Power to Make Vista Usuable

    I replaced an AMD Athlon 64 3800+ with this faster, dual-core processor in an HP/Compaq Presario SR5110nx PC and it made a VAST difference in the performance of Windows Home Basic. The benchmark of the new CPU is 1265, more than double the 581 of the original CPU. The machine also suffered from a lack of RAM which I upgraded to 4GB. It was well worth the time, money and effort as the PC is working very well now.

    Good For Low-budget PCs!

    The item is good for low budget PC parts, but there are more better CPUs out there. Since the item shipped in with thermal packs, installing this CPU for my Window Vista PC was a cinch. It can run games on playable low-average video settings, but that's it; It's not recommended to play most games with medium settings on this CPU. If you simply want a CPU for non-gaming purposes then this is simply good enough. It's highly recommended to save money for the higher spec CPUs but if that's not possible and you just want something simple, this is an obvious choice for you.

    Fantastic product super value for the money

    This processor is excellent for it's cost, smooth and fast, and has the power for performace. It handles games but then I am not a big time gamer. For those who just want a solid system it works very well. I do some film files and movies and the processor works really well fo me
