Product Information

Technology meets comfort and astounding performance in the Stihl MS 180 C-BE. This lightweight saw employs Stihl's Easy2Start technology, which eases and smooths its start up as a quick pull overcomes the engine's compression. The engine boasts 31.8 cc displacement and draws gas from the 250 cc fuel tank to yield 1.5 kW of power. A Quick Chain Adjuster lets the user adjust the chain's tension without the need for tools. The MS 180 automatically oils its chain, drawing from the 145 cc oil tank, to lubricate and cool it to reduce wear and tear and promote its performance. The chain break and front-hand guard help keep the user safe, while the anti-vibration handle helps reduce fatigue and improve the working experience.

A Reliable Chainsaw
A few years ago my son bought me a brand new Craftsman gasoline powered chainsaw for Christmas. Normally, I consider Craftsman to be a quality product but this thing was junk. Every time we tried to start it it either wouldn't start or took so much effort I thought I was going to have a heart attack. It was in the shop for repairs nearly as many times as we were able to use it. We finally said enough and went online to find a chainsaw that was top rated by Consumer Reports. This was the Stihl. awesome saw! light but powerful - Perfect for YOU! yes YOU. I use a saw with loads of experience. Good saw for the homeowner and expert. You can also buy better bars, wheels and chain for these saws. Cut like a woodsman with options. SO YOU Think to go buy a new cheaper saw?? DON'T !! I did and the thing never ran right and bogged down too much. Look for a good used STIHL or buy a new one. Nice replacement
Does not have the "ms 180" writing on the side like the picture shows. Eliminates some parts for the pull start but does not affect the performance. Have used the saw multiple times since installation with no problems. Takes a while to get but was not in a rush. Would reccomend this product.

Small saw big results!
I was amazed how good this little cheap saw cuts! I think it's because they use such a narrow chain and bar. It doesn't take as much power to cut through. I was just going to use it to trim branches and ended up cutting the whole load of wood with it. Really suprised me with it's power and RPM's. LOTS of "bang for the buck"! I would buy another. I don't really care for the "tooless" chain tightening method. That could go away and it would be better but it does work.
