    A beginner DMR radio for cheap, but solid.

    A beginner low cost radio for DMR. A bit daunting to program. Be sure to get the correct cable with the radio. Don't expect to program it with anything other than a computer. It appears the usb chip is built into the radio. It took me a couple days of farting around to build a codeplug, but that is common for DMR if you roll your own. I have a working cp, but not like I'd like it. Still it pairs nicely with a Pi Star hotspot, and I've learned a bunch about DMR. The audio is very clear, on DMR.

    Great value

    My first HT. Seems to have good build quality. Now to figure out how to run it. Is able to run open source software which is something I would like to do. This version does not come with GPS. Other RT3S can be ordered with GPS.
