    A good mass-printer for forms, flyers, and Word documents

    It can be tricky to find the right drivers for it with newer operating systems. But here's what has worked for me and others. It helps to know exactly which drivers will work best with your particular OS. If you have Win 8 or higher, go with the HP Universal Printing PCL 6 (v6.6.0). You will also need a DOT4_001 driver to create an HP port for the printer. Make sure the printer is plugged into your comp and turned on so the drivers will help the comp find it. Then it should work just fine. It even works with the newest Win 10 updates. Keep in mind that it is an older printer. It works best for mass-printing of documents. Images will slow it up.

    HP LaserJet 2200dse Printer

    Mine was acually a HP LaserJet 2200DSE. It is a great B/W laser printer for a bargain price that comes with the duplexing option. Drivers and User Guide easy to find and download. Has great memory expansion (up to 72mb) with networking card expansion as an option. This is a high quality, high volume HP workhorse that was not abused and should last a very long time. Added memory and 610 Jet Direct card easy to get cheap and install. Be sure to get one with a low page count and relatively new toner. With 64mb and the HP universal PCL5e driver, it prints Adobe PDFs very quickly compared to my old HP5m.

    Hewlett Packard LaserJet 2200dn Printer

    I bought it because of low cost, double sided printing option and network card. Printer works as expected, setting up the JetDirect card was a little more difficult than expected because HP used an outdated Java on the built-in web server. All is good now. Enjoy fast print speed and paper savings.

    PINTING

    I purchased a laser duplex printer to reduce the cost of printing data on my CIVIL AIR PATROL volunteer work. There are numerous long publications and reports that are required. Inkjet printer cartridges are expensive and don't last long. The laser printer was my choice because of the number of printed pages that can be obtained. The cost of a remanufactuired cartridge is comparable to the injet. There is nothing that I do not like about my printer. It is reliable, quick, and prints clear crisp copies of my reports.

    A great improvement in my printing function.

    This printer exceeds all expectations. It arrived quickly, works very well. I installed an extra 64MB of memory, and this printer works superbly. I am glad to get such a good deal. I bought this printer to get the duplex feature, and it is great.
