Good sound on a budget
Like most Samsung products this one lives up to expectations. I bought this because my 10 year old TV’s speakers were blown, and am completely satisfied. Separate bass control is nice.

It Works
I have a first generation Samsung Smart TV. I got this contemporaneous sound bar to go with it to improve the base range. The speakers in the TV aren't the greatest. I used the optical cable interface. Setup was easy. The appearance of the unit is good, and its low profile if fits perfectly in front of the TV on its stand without interfering with the picture. Also, the sound improvement is exactly what I was after. So all of that is good. On the down side, the integration with the TV is pretty awful. There doesn't appear to be a B channel with any intelligence between the sound bar and the TV. It's as though it's just an audio out to another device, despite the fact that it is a Samsung product and that they appear to have been marketed as though they were intended to be used ... If you try to use both the sound bar and the TVs internal speakers together, there is a really awful echo effect like they are a little out of sync. Not much, but definitely enough to be annoying. However, with the audio on the TV set to zero, even though it sounds great once it starts working, the sound bar takes a long time (maybe ten minutes) to figure out that it should come on and be responsive to its remote. So, you end up with yet another remote, and a really unpleasant delayed startup process. It's hard to say if the logic problem is primarily in the TV or the sound bar. But, my expectation was that contemporaneous equipment from the same company would work hand in glove together, and that is just not the case.

Great sound bar for a great price!
This is a very nice soundbar! It takes audio in via 3.5mm jack or digital optical or hdmi. It also takes bluetooth in. The sound is good and has nice bass as well. The sound and bass are independently adjustable. I would highly recommend to anyone.
