If you do not have Dance Dance Revolution, get it ... any of them and the dance mats to go with the program. You will get a work out. You will build muscles and tone your body if you do this a few times each week. We average 4 to 5 days. You can go to the work out mode and put in your weight and decide how many calories you want to burn and get busy! You can be up to 600 pounds when you start out as we found out by accident the mats go that high. So you cannot say, I am too heavy for this game.. Odds are you are not. We have been using this program and other programs like it for well over a month now. My teenaged daughter has dropped 14 pounds and still going! She is burning approx 500 calories a day doing this 4 to 5 days a week. Oh and she has cut back on how much foods she eats too. 14 pounds in a little over a month is a great accompliment! We are all very pleased! My mobility is getting much better and those aches and pains in the knees and other joints are becoming few and far between. The back problems I had that plagued me seem to be all but gone and walking is much easier for me too. And I am able to sleep through the night now. Middle aged folks need to work out with something like this. You start out slow and work up. Where my daughter is able to keep up on the higher levels, I have to stay on the lower ones... When you are over 50 you have to work up to these higher levels with care. Yet I am getting faster and better every day. What we do not like about this disc is that we cannot turn off the jumps. That makes it harder on us than the Nova that allows the jumps to be turned off. If you do not have a Dance Dance Revolution game and mats.. get them! This makes for Great family fun! We all have times when we ditch the work out mode and go head to head in compition and sometimes us old folks do just fine. We are looking forward to our grandchildren coming to visit so we can compete with them.. They have the dance dance revolution game and mats at home to help them stay fit during the winter months. I have a feeling the youngsters will beat us head to head, but what fun we will have! Ever now and then you find a product that turns your life around, makes you feel better about yourself and helps you feel more fit. The Dance Dance revolution and dance mats do just that. We enjoy them as the music is family friendly. The exercise is family friendly. Yet Teens, children and adults all benifit from this game. Let's get moving America! This will get your feet to moving, build up some muscle tone, help drop some pounds, bring families just alittle closer together, gets you up off the couch, help with a cardio work out, and helps the body to work better. If you are a couch potato, this is a fun way to make the transition to a moving person. And these games keep track of how many miles you have jogged too! We are over a hundred! And if you just do not want to get up on the dance mats, just try to keep your foot from tapping along with the music. We find ourselves watching the arrows that tell you which way to step when we are not dancing on the mats and doing the steps off the mat too! Nothing like extra motion when you are trying to drop a few pounds. I can't say enough good about Dance Dance revolution. We want very much to pick them all up as time goes by. Very worthy product. I chose to buy DDRMax2 because I enjoyed playing the original arcade game, and thought it would be fun to play at home. DDRMax2 is, overall, a fun game, and similar to previous versions of the title. There are a ot of song overlaps between this version and the original DDRMax, so if you didn't like that game's tracks, you probably won't want to buy this game. I bought the game used, so the price was definitely worth the experience. This game's workout mode is also better set up that the ones in DDRKonamix and DDRMax, and the stepping can be altered to maximize particular movements (i.e. - aerobic exercises). The game isn't a new title, but it's definitely worth having, if only to pull out at parties, or as an excuse for jumping around to groovy music.
I hadn't played any DDR since I was in middle school, so this game is like a time machine. I have had a blast dancing to all the ridiculously and challenging songs in this iteration of DDR, and who could forget the Whistle Song? Not this dancer! I would highly recommend this installment of the series for any returning veteran or newcomer that wants to shamelessly dance to some crazy music.

I chose this game in particular because it's got some good old DDR classics: Dream A Dream Heaven In the Navy So Deep Take Me Away Those songs are great to move to, and they add some nice flavor to this game. It has a great set-up and the difficulty levels are easy to determine. Overall, I'm relatively happy with my choice.
Bought this to add to my collection of DDR games. The game works great and has a good selection of songs. It’s pretty on par with other DDR games for the ps2 when it comes to features. Not my favorite edition but it’s a fun game and it definitely will be part of my regular rotation.
