Product Information

Gamers of all ages can develop their vocal talent and compete online against other warblers in SingStar. This musical import from Europe is the sixth release of the SingStar franchise and the first game of the series to be available on PS3. Players sing along to the designated song and by monitoring timing and pitch the game offers feedback for the singer. SingStar is compatible with the EyeToy and the PSP, allowing gamers to input their image into the game and transfer saved performances to the hand held platform using a memory stick. <br><br>The initial release features access to over 300 downloadable songs including songs from the previous editions of the game, and comes with microphones designed to emulate the same equipment used by professional artists. By creating a profile, gamers gain access to an online community and the ability to upload performances, snapshots, scores, and audio feedback. Periodically the game will alert players to new songs that are available, as well as additional skins and graphical effects. There is a fee for downloading extra music and adults can limit spending by adjusting the parental control settings.

    This game is best for teens.

    Lyrics' words are a bit though to read for my 8yrs old. Wish they had some young kids songs, other than that everything is perfect.

    Entire Family Loves This Game!

    Even my sister and nephew who are shy, love this game! We bought this for my daughter's sleep-over party to keep all the girls entertained all night. They loved it! Unfourtantely, I only know about 4 of the songs ( Bad Day, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Take On Me, and I Wanna Dance With Somebody) am I telling my age here? Anyway, I would love if they came out with a Country Songs game. My daughter knows most of the songs, but even if you don't know them, the person who actually sings the songs ( Whitney or whoever)voice is heard throughout- so you can learn em all. I am giving this a good instead of an excellent because I don't know most of the songs and the mics won't work with other games ( like Americal Idol which I'd love to try but don't want to buy more mics).     Singstar is amazing!

    I bought Singstar for my girlfriend after we'd played "Lips" for the XBox 360 and she loved it. While the cordless mics from Lips allow for more freedom, I think I'd have to say I prefer Singstar. You still get 30 base songs plus medleys that can incorporate any of the songs. I don't know if Lips has that feature or the games that Singstar does. You can play with 2 teams of 1-4 people and compete for points, it's really a lot of fun. I personally cannot stand the sound of my own voice but found the competitive nature of the games, and the ability to lower the volume of the voice, far too much to resist, as has every one of my guy friends who, normally, wouldn't be caught dead singing karaoke. It's really a ton of fun for parties or just having some friends over to goof around. Highly ...

    SingStar Pop for PSII

    Let me start by saying I used to be a professional singer. After giving birth to my son, I decided to retire from my band. The only outlet I had for singing is sitting in with the band every once in a while or going out and singing karaoke. It's not the same as being in the band but it let's me at least have that musical outlet. I recently purchased a few of the SingStar games just for some extra fun with my best friend. We have grown to really love these games! They are a lot of fun!! Not to mention, it helped break my best friend out of her shell as far as singing. She was very shy about it before but now she is all about the competition between us! We love it!!!

    Singstar Pop PS2 spells fun, fun, fun

    I bought this for my 13 year old daughter and I like it as much as she does. This is something that we love doing together. Neither one of us would make it on American Idol but we do this is our living room and we have a blast. The songs on this one was the ones that she knew and I actually knew some of the songs. So for a great time that you could have with your teenager I would highly recommend this video game.
