    Good Science Fiction Action

    Aaron Eckhart stars in this fact action science fiction thriller about a marine platoon that is sent into battle an invasion by aliens. Its starts out with a bang and the action keeps going from there. Eckhart plays a staff Sargent that is on the verge of retirement, he even turns in his papers the day before all hell breaks out near his home base in Camp Pendleton. He is joined by the other members of his platoon in a rescue mission in Santa Monica to bring out civilians before the military strikes back at the invaders. Its good to see a fresh Science Fiction movie that is not about vampires and werewolves. Also starring in this movie are: Ramon Rodriguez, Will Rothaar, and Cory Hardrict Any Science Fiction Fan will love this movie

    Battle: Los Angeles (Blu-ray/DVD, 2011, 2-Disc Set)

    Battle: Los Angeles" struck a cord in me. At first, I thought I was going to see a movie similar to other alien invasion movies. The movie centers on a group of dedicated Marines sent out to defeat the enemy, which in this case were the aliens. Not much information is given as to where the aliens came from or any other back story. That was what made it so good. This movie was not about the aliens as much as it was about the inner battle fought within each Marine. There were moments of suspense tied in with more somber scenes. One memorable scene involves two characters trying to find out how to kill the aliens. In all, this movie is not a typical formula standard. There are scenes that were expected, such as the ending. Yet, the action made the movie worth watching. There is non stop ...
