    superb sound etc.

    These sound like the 300 dollar ones by Bose. The construction is a lot cheaper, though the case is really nice. I like the way they fit in the case, and on the head. I bought some for my daughter and liked them enough to buy some for myself. Be careful though! The second pair I bought from a fly-by-night outfit that sent physically broken ones. Someone tossed the packaging before I saw they were broken. Since the store would not take them back without the cheesy packaging I now have one broken pair and a new pair on the way from a different store. This time I keep my eye on the packaging, and take the store to task if they come broken.

    Great product but one major flaw!.

    Great sound, very comfortable but they broke at the swivel (both right & left) the first time I used them. Suggest headphone without the swivel feature that allows them to be put in a more compact case. Maybe the pair I had was defective but they sure don't seem to be built very good at the swivel.

    Breaks Everytime Same Place

    I've bought a dozen of these, they break at the right side swivel. These where made in 2012 so the manufacturer must have dumped them on the market knowing about the defect. They are not warrantied unless you buy them from an authorized distributor.

    Junk

    Nakamichi used to be a prestigious Japanese company but obviously the name has been bought by some Chinese garbage peddling company. These are the worst sounding headphones I have ever heard and are very obviously cheap plastic junk. Don't let the pictures and the name fool you. These are pure garbage.

    nakamichi nc40 headphones

    i bought 2 sets. on both sets, one ear piece fell off before the first use. i had to glue them back on to use. but, they will not swivel now, as designed. -- defective product --
