Variations of the Game Dungeons & Dragons, if you are looking for a few ways to change up your normal game of Dungeons & Dragons then this is a book that you are gonna wanna get, it's not only shows you different things you can do to spice up your game, but it also shows you how to create your own house variations of things. This book, not only allows you to change the races, more in depth way to write your character back ground, giving you lots to work with. Most other products focus only on certain Classes. This is a more generalized version something for all your party members.
This product is a welcome tome for any 3.5 D&D group. There are variant rules for just about everything in the PHB. One of the best aspects of this book are the alternate rules for dealing with level adjustments. Over time they can buy off their racial adjustment levels in order to have as many class levels as their fellow party members. There are some interesting new feats in this book as well. I hear some talk of them being broken(i.e. Item Familiar), but in my opinion it is a bit underpowered for the price of a feat.
Unearthed Arcana opens new scenarios for both D&D players and DM: it offers dozen of variant rules for the game, spacing from alternative races to brand new spellcasting systems, adding new rules to create classes and additional rules such as reputation and honor. If there is something that you don't like in the official rules, chanches are high that a variant is present in this book. The book itself is very pleasing, with its sturdy hardcover and the nice illustration. A great book.
I haven’t read through all of this book yet but there are so many optional rulings, character options and information, this book should be included as a core book!
