    Versatile Rocking Amp

I've had many amps over the years, but this is my favorite. Recently had been playing through an EVH 5150III, but the other guitar player in my band was also playing through one, so I got the Marshall. So glad I did. It's like the 5150 barked. This growls. Love it. Easy to figure it out, four channels, three modes for each channel. If you can't find a sound you like with all those possibilities you should probably be playing the flute.

  • An amp that any type of player can use.

I purchased this amp the day it arrived at Guitar Center, for around $1,800.00 dollars including foot pedal. Since that time it has gone up to $2,400.00 dollars, and worth every penny of it. Having a small recording studio, it is in my best interest to have good equipment for different sounds. This is why I have 11 American guitars, and 9 tube amps. The Marshall 410H is so powerful and dirty, you have no need for a distortion pedal. But the real surprise is when you switch it to clean. My Fender Twin & Deluxe Reverb amps are considered among the top cleanest models made. I agree with this, but the Marshall JVM410H is not far behind when switched to clean. In addition, it has one of the best reverbs I have ever heard. Mine is matched with a Marshall JCM 900, 1960 Lead 4 X 12 cabinet. This ...

  • Best Marshall Head

It's like having 12 of the best Marshall heads in one. So versatile. 3 gain modes per channel x 4 channels. It remembers your settings when switching channels. It has 2 master volumes, and each channel has volumes, so you can set different volumes on all 4 channels. Each channel also has it's own reverb control. Digital reverb, no springs. The sound is impressive. Warm, full of sustain, LOUD. I'm in love. If you want the best (IMHO). This is the best. By the way, for the first month I owned it, I had in running through a Crate 4x12 and a Carvin 4x12,, and now I bought 2 Marshall 1960 cabs(4x12's), and it is sooo much better. Dont hesitate to get good cabinets. CHEERS

  • Best Marshall amp ever!

I've owned many Marshall and other amps through the years. The JVM 410 shines brightest. All channels are excellent but OD1 orange rules. Add a sonic maximizer and watch out!

  • Spare head

I bought this head as a spare to my new one. I paid $1400 which is about a $1000 below average ... AND I was able to pick it up locally!!! As this head is used, it has generic tubes in it. I don’t know what brand they are; I don’t know how old they are; and I don’t know how hard the previous owner beat on them. So I contacted Marshall Support to get Marshall’s part numbers to order new tubes through Guitar Center. I’ll also get the cover (it’s for the Valvestate head - CVER-00005). I fellow guitarist turned me onto this particular head cuz you can channel switch between 4 levels of distortion instedda fiddling with knobs! (Soooo handy!!!) My only bitch would be - rather than have a dedicated reverb for each channel, I’D prefer if I could switch between reverbs like you can the channels ...
