    Great upgrade part

    Fits perfect and allows the gun to function like new . In comparison of the original part , this one is much thicker and has a larger sharp edge . Only complaint would be the lack of instructions . Luckily You-Tube had a good video that made the removal and replacement a breeze .

    want a dependable 597 magnum? use the Volquartsen extractor, worth every penny!!

    Brought my" left for dead" 597 magnum back to life and back to my "favorites" list with dependable firepower. The Remington original came out of the bolt looking like 40 miles of bad road.Now I am down to finding dependable magazines. Thank you Volquartsen for giving me back one of my favorite rifles!

    Fixed my stove piping

    I used to hate my Remington 597 until I put this new extractor in. Works perfectly and is pretty easy to install. When you install the new extractor keep in mind that it is held in by a spring. Could spring out and fly across the room.

    Great upgrades for superb little 22lr rifle

    Top quality product. My rifle has a Volquartsen extractor in it but I have put A ton of rounds through it and I was experiencing alot of malfunctions and after inspection I found the tip of the claw was missing. I replaced the extractor and it is running fine now with no malfunctions. The Volquartsen hammer upgrade gave it a smooth, crisp trigger. Great products, I have Volquartsen extractors in all of my 22lr Guns.

    It Really Works.

    This product takes my Remington 597 & turns it into a reliable rifle. Before this product there were FTE's (failure to eject) every 10 round clip. Now they are gone. A new metal clip (the original clip was plastic) to eliminate FTF's (failure to feed) & I have not had a FTE, FTF, jam, stovepipe, etc. Well worth the price, I now shoot my Rem. 597, not leave it in the safe.
