Not what they were advertised!
These were advertised as "leather covered grips". I was expecting the grips to be made of leather, which was wrapped around the grip, so you would have the feel of hard leather wrapped tightly around the grip. That is NOT the case! First off, the material: There's no way this is leather! It feels like think vinyl. Whatever it is, it's very, very thin, and does not have the feel of leather. The "feel" of the grip is very awkward, because when you grip it, you expect to feel the firmness and texture of leather, but instead, you feel this thin layer of material that is covering a layer of some sort of padding. If you've ever felt a little toy baseball that is made for a toddler to play with, that's made of thin vinyl and stuffed with polyester....that's what this grip feels like. It's very ... It has so much polyester padding underneath that paper-thin layer of material, that your fingers sink into the grip, instead of wrapping around it like your fingers would wrap around a normal grip. Additionally, there is so much padding on this grip, that it's very thick and large in diameter. So large, that my hands don't fully wrap around them. I don't have small hands, and have never had a problem gripping motorcycle grips; but these grips are so fat, that I can't comfortably get my hands around them. And since the material covering them is some paper-thin layer of cheap vinyl-like material, the grip is slick, so your hands can easily slide off of it, making them borderline dangerous to use. All in all, these are the cheapest feeling, most poorly engineered set of motorcycle grips that I have ever encountered. They're stuffed so full of polyester padding, that they are so fat they actually look comical on my bike. I can honestly say that these grips are the most useless and disappointing product I have ever purchased for any of my motorcycles. Do not waste your money on these grips.
