    New Mutants #98

The time is now to buy this comic. I have been tracking this item, before and after purchasing this comic and within three weeks they are selling for $50 more than the previous weeks average. With the success of the movie franchise the value and collectors intrinsic need for the book will only get higher.

  • Deadpool.

As a fan of Deadpool, it was imperative to find a copy of New Mutants #98 to witness his greatness. I would've gladly settled for a ratty copy of this issue to read through, but barring that had no qualms about getting a nicer one…be prepared to pay, however. Having been a couple of decades removed from reading a real-life comic book, as opposed to the graphic novels, it was both fun and disappointing to be able to blast through the issue so quickly. The complexity of Deadpool's detailed existence were overshadowed by his simple Awesomeness in attacking Mr. Summers & Co. though he ultimately gets wrapped up and mailed back to Mr. Tolliver, it was an impressive debut, nonetheless. For a 23+ year old issue, I am quite lucky to have received such a well preserved copy. ...

  • Quintessential Deadpool for any DP collector.

This is a great key issue for any Deadpool fan, it's the first appearance of Deadpool, Gideon, and Domino (technically Copycat is posing as Domino and her true first appearance is X-Force 11). Deadpool introduces himself as a mercenary hired by Mr. Tolliver to take out Cable and the New Mutants. DP is featured in the latter half of the book, and all in all it is a good story to introduce DP and Domino. Rob Liefeld originally created DP to be a throw away enemy and homage/satire t Deathstroke, but he ended up being a very popular character. The book itself has great colors, the action keeps it moving without lulling, the story is ok, and Liefeld'as art is good, and Deadpool looks great. You can tell he is still being developed because he has all these weird gadgets he ...
