    Useful Handheld Press

Used to deprime, resize, flare, seat, and crimp 50 Beowulf. Got stuck on 82nd resize, but can happen on any Press. The included deprimer pin is supposed to release from the collet when too much force is excerted. Mine didn't, it bent. I wedged a screwdriver to straighten it out and continued along. Included case lube sufficient for use on brass cases. A little goes along way. Discovered that working in small batches, 10-20 cases at time, and using minimal amount of lube to cover the whole case with fingertips works better as the lube thickens when overapplied, causing more tension on the press. The small, portable size is a bonus. First time reloader; slow and methodical process with this Press. Patience is advised.

  • Helps you safe money on hard calibers that stores DON'T sale.

Hello, I got the item cause I have a 7.7 JAP or type 99 that was given to me in the family. So I did not want to spent over $100 for just a bench press with some items with it and be trapped in one spot reloading either. If you gone to load 40 rounds every month and be in multi places or rooms as you can do it while target range reloading its GREAT for , but If you gone to reload 100 to 200 rounds weekly it is not gone to workout well for the that your arms and hands will hate you lol.

  • Good for low volume shooting weapons

I use this for my .480 Ruger. Basically a hunt only weapon so it isn't fired all that much. Maybe 20-30 or so rounds a year. 2 or 3 to check scope, 4 cylinders or so for fun, and the rest venison harvesting. When I shoot a couple cylinders worth, I bring this out and load them back up. Works great for this type of application, where attention to detail is more important than gobs of ammo. I recommend this set up for this, and also bench experimenting. I recommend also getting the Lee handprime in addition to the dipper set to go along with this. I keep this whole ".480 loading kit" in a cheap black plastic tool box.

  • Reloading Hand Press

Well made. Some effort is needed to full length size rifle brass but bullet seating is easy enough for black powder cartridges..

  • Does everything a single stage bench press will do.

I use this press to do case preparation work while watching TV since I do not need to be at the bench. The fact that you do not need to mount this to anything is its greatest reason to use hand press. The downside is you don't the mechanical advantage and can wear yourself out if you do a lot of reloads at a time.
