    Really a 4 1/2 Star

    I had watched a video on assembly before it arrived so putting it together was fairly simple. It rolls really well ... and fast! Turning radius is okay & better than other scooters. Ya' gotta be careful though. I took it outside on the driveway, which seems pretty flat. I have a non-weight bearing cast from my right foot up to my knee. Had big time surgery on my right foot. Well, I hit a place on the driveway that had a very slight pitch (didn't even know the pitch was there) and the scooter tipped over sending me to the cement. I desperately tried to make sure no weight came down on the foot, but I got banged up a bit. Fortunately, no broken bones (thank you Lord!). The rear wheels are much closer together than in the front, which makes it less sturdy and more prone to tip. All ...

    Sturdy equipment

    Price for this item was excellent. It is sturdy and cheaper than purchasing from a local medical supply store. The turn radius is not great, but probably better than some other knee walkers. Also the hand brake has to be squeezed really tight in order to be able to push down the button to lock it in place. I have arthritis in my hands, so squeezing the handle tight enough to push the lock button down is difficult. The product also arrived with a small area of paint chipped off exposing the bare metal beneath. All in all, I would still recommend this walker. I think it is better than many, particularly for the price.

    Sturdy, solid knee walker - great features

    I had foot surgery about a week ago and need to remain non-weightbearing for at least 8-12 weeks. The hospital supplied me with crutches and a regular walker, but these were not sturdy or comfortable to use. I had heard about knee scooters and began my research! THere are many brands with different features out there at all price points, but let me tell you why I selected the KneeRover Deluxe Steerable Scooter. 1) the steering mechanism is unlike most all other scooters - it has automotive type "tie-rod" steering - this enables a tight turning radius and does not make the scooter unstable in a turn (i have fallen mid-turn on a few other brands during the purchase process) 2) the scooter has rear disc brakes much like a car (once again) instead of the usual tire pressure braking systems ...

    Very Sturdy and glides easily.

    Never had to use one of these before. Got it for my wife who had foot surgery. Very sturdy and glides easily. She really likes it and will be using it for quite a while. It is made out of steel so it isn't a lightweight, but it will hold up to the largest person for sure. The only thing I didn't like on it was where the handle fits into the body (where you adjust the height.) It is wobbly even when tightened down as much as possible. My wife doesn't mind it though so I can live with it.

    Well Engineered, Great Value, Easy Assembly

    Packaged securely in robust box. Assembled in 5 minutes, no tools required. Assembly is intuitive, this old toolmaker did not need the instruction sheet. ( I added a couple of zip ties to further retain brake cable to steering column so it will not snag on things) Steerable wheels with tie rods are much safer than turning the whole front axle as done on other models. Full circumference drum brake is very positive, a real plus instead of wheel tread brakes. I plan to add soft rubber cups over the front wheel retaining nuts to avoid damaging things I may bump into.
