A Low Cost and effective USB-2 GPS Receiver with easy installation.
At Just under $30 including shipping, you really can't beat the price. Also, having used the last release of this product for some time on my pleasure boat, I can attest to the fact that the receiver never fails to find and bring in the GPS satellite signals. I installed the provided driver and small user application (Via a small CD-R) on a laptop running Windows-10. Installation of drive and app took just a few minutes, and best of all no futzing about: The product simply came up and immediately worked on my box. I next brought up my installation of Open Captain that I use for onboard navigation: No issues, GPS simply communicates with Open Captain. Brainless install, good receiver sensitivity, and a reasonable price: All USB powered computer accessories should be user friendly!At Just under $30 including shipping, you really can't beat the price. unable to get it to work on windows 10 tried goiing to website to download drivers and it says unknown device when plugged in and then with drivers says its a com3 reciever but i tried using gps nav software and didn't work.

Globalsat with Delorme software is a great tool on my PC for finding addres
This is better than a fixed GPS because I can use my computer features to zoom in or out. I can tell it what way I want to go and it follows that route. I don't have to have the GPS plugged into the system to use the features for finding an address and the best way "I" decide to get there. The standard GPS has quick and shortest. On the Delorme I can look at the routes and the type of roads and lay out my own course finding the best way to avoid lots of stops. With this system it "CAN" be up to me how I get there. I have used it for 8 years in coordination with my fixed GPS. This way I know when to "avoid" what the fixed GPS tells me to do because I have seen the better way to go.This is better than a fixed GPS because I can use my computer features to zoom in or out. All in all I am pleased with my purchase.
The only problem I encountered was that the drivers were out of date, but the included manual on the installation CD gives the Web site to the company where one can download the newest drivers for Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as and an updated Satellite checker, for the unit. The unit also has a very powerful magnet on the back making it stick very well to the metal roof of your car, motorcycle, boat, or wherever you use it, as well as a rubber suction cup if your application does not include a metal surface.The only problem I encountered was that the drivers were out of date, but the included manual on the installation CD gives the Web site to the company where one can download the newest drivers for Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as and an updated Satellite checker, for the unit.
