Product Information

Midway's over-the-top examination of the seamy side of professional football returns after a one-year hiatus in Blitz: The League II. The series once again offers a dramatized view of football, this time featuring a Campaign mode penned by Peter Egan, writer for the ESPN series Playmakers. Other new features include precision-aim tackling that lets players target a specific area of an opponent's body, a new selection of vicious tackles that shatter helmets, break bones, and knock out teeth, an enhanced Clash mode for special maneuvers, and player-controlled touchdown celebrations. Hall-of-Famer Lawrence Taylor reprises his role as the tough-as-nails player Quentin Sands, while comedians Jay Mohr and Frank Caliendo round out the cast, portraying "The Agent" and "The Prison Warden" respectively. Aside from the Campaign mode, players can partake in hard-hitting football action in the quick-play Versus mode, and take on friends in online multiplayer modes.

    great Football action & exciting things to do when your on the football field and what not.

    Great Game but It's Challenging though when you play a different team every game though all teams are very different in what plays you make for your team & other teams too when your playing a team and about making all the right plays for your team & score points for the team as well.

    Great Game!

    Blitz is a great game as long as your not getting it for a football simulation. 30 yard first downs may seem strange but it keeps up with the arcade feel that Blitz was made for. The career mode has some depth to it as well, designing your jerseys and logo is well done. Then once you start playing there are tons of challenges like causing X amount of injuries that will award you trophies and bonus stuff. The amout of drugs that you can dose your players up with is insane and they all have there advantages and disadvantages. The injuries in this game are not for the faint of heart, when someone gets hurt the game goes into a CSI style camera where it actually shows the bones break and shatter, VERY grusome but very well done.     Cross between madden and blitz

    This game is a hybrib of madden and blitz oldschool. One fallback is you can't use nfl teams but the gameplay and special effects are cool. I like the fact that when you throw a long bomb you can take control of your guy and run around you opponent and either jump or dive for the catch, that's were the madden comes in plus the game looks like madden. but you can't beat breakin bones, injecting needles, and roids hey it has a little of everything. hey at least you get lt the infamous lawrence taylor. Plus you can make your own guy.

    This game is worth the buy because of it's GAMEPLAY & value.

    This game has very credible graphics, but the gameplay is what stands out the MOST. Although online gameplay may suffer some days, because the game was created in '08 with not many players, the gameplay offline and online is awesome! It's madden and injury tackles meshed into together. The graphics are just as good. The mode where you can create a team is the best feature!
