    Just like being there

    I was an extra in the movie Gettysburg and would have been in Gods and Generals except they didn't need as many extras. I just had to have a copy of this movie to go with Gettysburg. I have read the books and enjoyed them too. It's too bad they never made the 3rd and final movie, but even Ted Turner can run out of money.

    Most historically accurate film on "The War Between The States" ever made! Best actors and acting imaginable!

    Truth not fiction, much being word for word from history. It has the proper perspective and an accuracy not found in any other film on the subject. It is actually a portrayal of a biography of Stonewall Jackson and a history of the just cause not fought over slavery but state's rights.

    Great movie and long, but the Blu-ray version is even greater and longer.

    It's very long but very enjoyable. Made before CRT and the 'woke' society started removing all the statues to these great men in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. I watched and loved it, then bought the Blu-tooth version with deleted scenes that really extend the storyline.

    Great movie for War Between the States history buffs.

    Was in the film and it was a blast doing the filming. Robert DuVall is great as Robert E Lee!!! The same for Jeff Daniels as Joshua Chamberlain and Stephen Lang as Stonewall. The story followed what happened and is very well done.
