    As I remember from my youth

    This is a reliable dye product with a solid reputation. It has been around for at LEAST 50 years. I remember using it as a child. I am looking into using other types of dyes, as well, for different effects, but I am impressed with Rit's ability to cover as promised.

    Fabric Dye

    I'm certainly no expert, when it comes to using fabric dye. Although my dark green turned out to be a light seafoam green, I was still quite pleased with the outcome and the uniformity of the final color. The dye was easy to use, without a lot of fuss or mess. Perhaps it was because I rinsed my dyed fabric twice, that it turned out much lighter. But, I prefer it that way, to insure that the color does not bleed in future washings. I purchased 5 other colors, all of which turned out lighter, probably due to my own faulty technique, but I am very much pleased with all of them.

    The cost of a box of Rit every few months saves buying new uniforms.

    Rit fabric dye is very easy to use and effective for any fabric listed on the package. I use it to refresh my uniforms when they begin to look used. One box of Rit every few months and I keep a new looking uniform. Now keep in mind it isd a dye so it will stain anything you get it on, so use with caution. But I got to say, the money I save on refreshing my clothes has been well worth it.
