    Italian Longsword/ Cold Steel(88ITS)

    When deciding to buy this sword, I wanted to buy a decent wall hanger- but I got much more than that... Received new order today, box was what boxes are supposed to look like, though impressive for cold steel- oiled blade had a sleeve over it- protectant from sitting long term & collecting rust- very well packaged, professionally wrapped... NOW......... This sword MUST have been inspected by someone who really cares about customer service- DARN...FINE...SWORD... Beautiful Sword- COMPLETELY KNOCKED MY EXPECTATIONS OUT OF THE PARK....THIS SWORD WAS DONE RIGHT!!! Especially for this kind of money- DEFINITELY DESERVES A REVIEW!! I will put it this way- I own another sword that I paid SEVEN TIMES MORE than this one- and this Italian Long Sword is faster, ALLOWS ME TO BE EXTREMELY ...

    Cold Steel makes a nice Sword

    I have not had time to test this, so I am going from sight only for this review. If it performs half as well as the video, it's a winner. I read that a well known outlet for swords had shipped these with a caveat "Buyer Beware" because several models were coming from the CS factory with loose crossguards and handles and were badly packaged for shipment. It was not the case for my sword which came tight as a banker's wallet and without a scratch. It feels light in the hand (for a two handed sword) and after I steeled the edge with a butcher's steel (to bring the edge up) it was razor sharp. It is a very high quality for a mass produced sword.

    Great quality for the money

    Pretty sword. Sharp. Weight and balance are very good. In fact it feels a bit lighter and more nimble than my Rawlings synthetic waster (practice sword). Balance point is within 1 inch of the waster's. Grip leather is very soft. And maybe a tad loose. I don't know if the grip would hold up with long repeated use.
