    Not as expected

    I did not notice anything in the product presentation on E-bay that suggested I would be receiving only one part (volume 3) of a four part set...and an older edition that does not match the artwork in the ad at that. What I have heard from the CD is good....but it certainly is not the entire course.

    Grad Course on Ancient Religion

    This course is very informative. It basically covers the Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Greek, and Roman religious cultures.I learned a lot of new and interesting things about each of those cultures: new details about their gods & godesses, rituals and celebrations, myths, beliefs, texts, etc. Think of it as a grad course on those ancient religions. If you know a little already, you'll deepen and enrich your knowledge. If you are a beginner just looking for an entertaining overview, you might find this 48-lecture course too detailed and somewhat dry. The prof. is very knowledgeable and organized, and he speaks with a clear, articulate voice, but is not the most exciting speaker in the world. But he's not too bad either - a solid 4-star rating. All in all, I'd recommend it to folks who are very ...
