Great Sounding, Comfortable Headphones
These headphone replace my Shure SRH940s for mixing and late night listening (I’m far enough away that the leakage doesn’t bother housemates). The 940s are great for tracking but the 1840s are much more accurate and detailed and the low end much more extended for evaluating mixes. I like these much more than Sennheiser HD600s which I used for several years. The only slight complaint is that the cables are a hardened plastic material that is hypersensitive to touch and transfers the sound to the earcups, but in practice this hasn’t been a problem because I’m not moving around when listening. The price of these headphones is actually quite reasonable considering the excellent quality. I’ve only had them a few weeks though, so I can’t speak to their durability, however positive past experience with the Shure’s generous repair/replacement policy inspires confidence that if they break the company will take care of it satisfactorily.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
