Watch your thumb.
A sharp knife is a safer knife. Only had it a short while but I've sharpened knives, sizers, cutters, tools and have started looking for other stuff. It is easy to use and you DON'T press hard or use much force. I know you want to. You are the only moving part so no batteries, chargers nor plug ins. It's easy to replace the elements if and when you ever need to. Even I can do it. My child showed me. My only concern is if you have hands watch where you place your thumb. Watch the instructional video. When you put your fingers thru the grip hoop, your thumb rests right under where a VERY SHARP knife comes free of the elements and you are pressing down. Fool proof and easy way to put an edge on knives. Just try to use it sparingly as it is aggressive and removed a lot of metal. Establish an edge and maintain it with a sharpening steel or ceramic.
