It was a bit of a pain to get the socket out the deep sparkplug hole on my BMW 328i. The prongs held tighter to the sparkplug then the extension i had to use held on this socket. What worked for me was wiggling the extension socket combo while slowly pulling it up out of the sparkplug hole. My extension kept slipping put, but eventually I was able to remove the socket from all four spark plugs.
