It is strong and stout and great for practice of Iaido. You can rely on it for training and exercise, and it is beautiful and well crafted. I will have it for years.

If your looking to buy this to train Iaido or Batto-do, yes, it’s $80. It is not however, good for training. Buy the $40 polypropelene, and save up for an actual quality iaito, like I will now have to do. The shipping was fast, but let’s face it, FEDEX usually is. It’s advertised as aluminum, but the advertising that comes with it says ALL of their swords are made from high carbon steel of no less quality than 1045 steel. It’s probably worth $80, but your arms and elbows are priceless.
