Good size and good enough quality for the price. Great for clearing green brambles and soft brush. Grab a handful and gently slice through the bottom. Very little effort required. The blade is quite narrow and I guess it will only last as long as the teeth and would be difficult to sharpen. Good enough for now though.

It is fine for small brambles but any thicker it struggles unless it needs more strength behind it quality is good and not too heavy I would recommend it

Light and super sharp, if perhaps a little smaller than I had expected.

Light and super sharp, if perhaps a little smaller than I had expected. Never the less, a good tool, well made and a useful addition to my garden tools. It will be useful to keep the grass down at the swims I love to fish at my club's fishing lakes.

  • Top critical review

    Rough finish

The sickle blade is sharp (though how long it will remain sharp may be another matter), but the backwards facing teeth begin only an inch or so from the point. It is not possible, I think, to sharpen the teeth. On the other hand, I suppose grass is not likely to seriously blunt the teeth either. The handle feels rough, as if it is taken straight off the lathe without sandpapering, and the tang goes all the way through and is bent over at the end. I suppose that guarantees that the blade will not come out of the handle, but it is hardly a good-quality finish. My wife used it the day after it arrived and seems pleased with the results. Since then we have had continuous rain, so I cannot comment on long-term usefulness.

  • Excellent

Id rather want a bigger handle and not too curved. I prefer the serration on the other side of the blade for those right handed like me. Overall the this product is great, sharp and really excellent to use. Love it.

  • Don't fear the reaper!

A nice little scythe. Bought it to cut rushes. You need a little practice to get into the rhythm of cutting, but it does the job. I couldn't give it 5 stars as I felt it could've been sharper. Perhaps I'm being a little unfair and I copped for a slightly dull product. Nevertheless, a good size and weight.

  • ......

For me, it was difficult to use, bought heavy duty rechargeable strimmer, where the strimmer didn't cut the brambles, secateurs were used. Having said that, someone with experience would, probably, have great success with this
