Soul Calibur V sticks to the series' signature "8 Way Run" style of 3D fighting, bringing subtle refinements to control mechanics and a drastic expansion of customization options. The game's "Just Guard" defensive move requires less accuracy, but rewards perfectly timed blocks with a nearly instantaneous opportunity to counter attack. The game also adds a sidestep move, accessed with a quick double tap. The Character Creation mode allows players to choose height, facial expressions, colors, voices, weapons, and special effects, as well as fighting style.<br><br>In the series' tradition of guest stars, Assassin's Creed II's Ezio is available for play. The game's 30-character roster includes Siegfried, Ivy, Yoshimitsu, and other Soul Calibur legends, as well as new characters, such as Patroklos and Pyrrha, the son and daughter of Sophitia. Set 17 years after the events of the previous game, the main story follows Patroklos' quest for the Soul Swords through Renaissance Europe. In addition to the solo modes, players can battle against a friend on the same system, or find a fight online.

    Decent game

    I just got this game for the character creation fun. Its a very advanced fighting game it can be very difficult every single input counts so its definitely not a button mashing game im very glad it has a difficulty setting unlike some older titles of this series. All the voice acting and audio is also very repetitive.

    Great game, new characters along with some old favorites

    excellent fighting game, a must have if you like any style of fighting game... especially for versus mode. story mode is ok but unlike soul calibur 4 you have to play as only one main character.

    Good game!

    Playing on xarcade still. Its fun! More difficult than soul caliber 4. The graphics are good in thr 360 to this day. Best fighting game so far on the 360.

    Great entry to the series

    Combat system is amazing, feels even better than the previous games in the series. Character creation is fantastic, especially since stats aren't attached to every item like they were in SC 4.
