    Best Sony Portable CD Player Ever!

    It is so crystal clear and rich sounding. Sounds like an analog player where you get the full range of sound with none of the digital "clipping" that happens with a cell phone ect. where if the volume isn't at the "correct" level it just clips it out. It sounds like a one-on-one concert in your ears! Very quite in the pauses of the music, "could hear a pin drop". Every note is heard and the variations in between. It has the G-protection so I haven't slammed it into anything but it doesn't skip as I move around or rotate it in my hand. I like the side display and the push button volume control. Great player and I was lucky to get it at a great price.

    Versatile Audio Sources and Power Sources

    Although this CD player kit is geared toward adapting it to the car's cassette player, you can connect the player to the car's auxiliary jack via a 3.5mm male-to-male patch cord, which you can buy separately for a few dollars. That way, you can play CDs in newer cars that don't have CD players without having to copy all of your music to a stick. And, the AC power adapter lets you play CDs at home, without needing batteries.

    Could have been better!

    Every time you turn off the unit and then turn it back on you have to adjust the volume by pushing a little tiny button till the volume comes back to full. Most other makers have a wheel you turn to set the volume and then you just leave it there. I believe the model has been discontinued so this review is probably meaningless.

    Well done!

    I have a '99 Range Rover w/state of the art.....cassete deck!!! aaarrgg! So I found a Sony w/ carkit. and now I'm listening to CDs that I use in every-day life, and there's not much clutter in contrast to how it sounds through a high quality tape deck & Harman Karden sound.

    Sony disc Walkman

    Bought used one and using in my car because my car doesn’t have cd in it. Sound very good to me, the only problem it does not have memory where the track was played after you turn key off and or it lost power then you turn on again then player will start from 1st track with volume set up back to lowest kind of inconvenience
