  • Lots of info. packed into a compact, easy-to-read book!

This book is great! There is a wealth of information in this little book. Mary Pope Osborne deserves a pat on the back for all of her research guides. This one on the American Revolution is wonderful. My daughter generally enjoys fictional books more, but this book kept her attention and provided her with factual information on the war. It is written in language they understand yet includes a lot of detail. As a homeschooler, I like that Ms. Osborne followed up her fictional story "Revolutionary War on Wednesday" with the research guide. It allowed us to go a step further. The back of the book gives ideas of where to go for more information, both in print and on the web. What a wonderful resource - especially for the reluctant reader.

  • American Revolution by Mary Pope Osborne

My son loves all of Ms. Osborne's books in the Magic Tree House series. He is 7 and can read a whole book in an hour which makes him very proud of himself. The research guides are a great non-fiction companion to her fiction stories. He can't wait to share with me all the facts he learned from the guides. For the American Revolution he can easily state at least 20 facts that he learned just from the guide. The guides make learning fun and make history come alive. He was never into history like he is now.

  • Came nice and fast!!!
