Berryman 0996 Chem Dip Parts & Carburetor Solvent.
Took off all the carbon, even the baked on stuff from the tops of the cylinders, and they look new. (These are a used set of pistons which are in excellent condition, I keep them, the camshafts, crank, pistols, connecting rods, as spares just in case. I am sure they would also do a SUPER job on firearms. We used to use a very similar liquid solvent in the Army at our Weapons' Pool.

Better than nothing, but not as good as carb dips prior to the EPA.
Not actually better than expected. I was expecting the carbs to come out clean and shiny. They had the same appearance coming out as they did going in. The directions said leave in for 30 minutes. At 30 minutes I couldn't tell any difference, at an hour I couldn't tell any difference and after the second hour I pulled them out and rebuilt them.

Pure garbage
I bought this for only 1 reason, because EVERBODY told me Carb Cleaner will clean an Automotive HVLP Paint gun BETTER than lacquer thinner. I always first put some cleaner in the cup and swish it around to remove any excess before I fill it to spray it through the gun. It was unable to remove ANY paint from the cup. Chem Dip must be missing something that ALL other carb cleaners have. Berryman the best chemdip ever made.
Berryman chemdip is the absolute best stuff to clean mechanical parts.. A harsh chemical , not for just everything. Best for carburetors and other automotive parts. Worth the extra cost over cheaper cleaners. Will last a long time.
