In comparing this part to the OEM unit it replaced, I honestly believe this part is heavier duty, meaning it should last at least as long as the OEM unit did. As they say, because of the work involved, leave this job to a professional. I had the evaporator replaced at the same time, a wise thing to do simultaneously. Only thing that needs explanation is how to use the included silver tape. Thank you. Ed M.
