    replacement phone

    i ordered this phone as a replacement for my broken one while i was on vacation. it arrived fast,2 days and has all the features i need for a simple basic phone. good battery life and easy to use. i recomend this phone as a back up phone or a good replacement phone i easily activated with verizon on my existing contract.

    Good prepaid phone

    The Samsung Gusto is a slight upgrade from Samsung Smooth. The dimensions are similar with the Gusto being just a bit longer and thinner. The Gusto has a textured finish unlike the Smooth's smooth (and slippery) finish. I sometimes had problems trying to flip open the Smooth with one hand without cutting off the call or dropping the phone. I don't have that problem with the Gusto. That alone was enough reason for me to switch from the Smooth to the Gusto. Overall the phones are very similar but the Gusto has a better display. Bluetooth functionality is the same on both phones and very simply to connect to other devices like your car audio system. If you already have a prepaid phone and want to switch to the Gusto or any other Verizon prepaid phone, you can do that online at the ...

    Great update clamshell. Performs basic tasks well. Worth the $.

    I bought this phone after realizing that I did not need to have an expensive cell phone. So I sold my iPhone 4 and bought the Samsung Gusto instead. I've always liked clamshell cellular phones so I had no trouble becoming fond of this one. The battery life isn't as long lasting as I remember. However, I do text more frequently than I used to. Thankfully this phone takes under 20 minutes to charge completely. The camera isn't fantastic. Very low resolution. I only use it for visual notes. And because of the small screen even fantastic picture messages seem drab (quick solution: get 'em to email you the picture instead). Holding the phone while speaking is a bit uncomfortable after long periods of time. I would recommend buying a headset to go along with it. But, you're going to need a 2.5mm ...

    A NICE LITTLE FLIP PHONE

    This is a nice simple phone, flip style, with a menu button in center saying OK. Large buttons to dial, and large numbers appear on screen when dialing. Has a nice feel to it. Opens easily when a call comes, not hard to open, or hang up when trying to open, like some flip phones. You touch screen users stay away from this phone, it will only frustrate you. It is a good one for the person who wants a simple phone and doesnt store alot of data.

    Verizon Gusto SCH-U360 non-purple

    No USB support other than it charges using the typical MICRO-usb port. Samsung shows there are two models of this phone for Verizon: SCH-U360MAAVZW & SCH-U360MASVZW. There is a difference of about 2MB in filesize for the two versions of the user manual via Samsung, but good luck finding which model you have from the MEID HEX label inside the phone. I had to assume I have the SCH-U360MAAVZW because the other is 404 on Verizon. The back cover is extremely difficult to get off (tracking down which model I had so i could discover that USB drivers are nowhere to be found for this phone). Push and hold the number 1 key for voicemail is a great feature. The flimsy case I got with the phone is aweful; both volume controls on the left side, as well as the camera and mute buttons on the right side ...
