It wasn’t that sharp out of the box, but my ken onion sharpener got it shaving like a mower. Also I had to clean and oil the threads in and on the pommel cap. The finish comes of super easy. I knew I would have to touch it up, as I am aware of the finish on these handles. The blades are stainless which is a big plus. These are fantastic knives if you put the time to clean em up some. Great field knife and the sawback is ferocious.
