    rough rider RR155 whittler

    fit and finish on this knife are very nice, craftsmanship is nice. the master blade is a nice thick saber grind. the secondary blades are unfortunately very thin and will be prone to breakage just like most of the chinese made small blades. my main concern is that the knife is thick and clunky feeling. it has two extra spacers under the scales making it unduly heavy. the split tapered spacer is there all right but it has not been engineered to best take advantage of the tapered spacer, and therefore the additional side spacers are required. the chinese are coming along nicely, they just have a few things to learn yet.

    Small blades hard to open

    I did not use the knife as it will be gifted. I did take it out and inspected the knife. Good length and weight. Blades look good, made from 440steel. The only complaint I have without using this knife is that the 2 smaller blades are very hard to open. If not for this issue, it would be very good value.
