    Nice Firerod!

    The Exotac Firerod is a well made fire-steel at a great price. After sanding off the black protective coating I was able to throw sparks easily. These sparks are large and extremely hot. I was able to easily start a fire with the Exotac Firerod......and the capsule is orange, my favorite color! I have put some char cloth in the capsule for those tough times.

    Used it for my custom made sheath

    I purchased the fire steel principally to place into a custom made sheath I had made for my Cudeman MT5 survivor knife.The blade is stainless steel where the spine of the knife can be used to throw off 5000 degree sparks from the fire steel.Anyway,the fire steel itself fits into a fire steel loop on the sheath.I only tried it out in an ash tray in my shop to test the rod out,and it is without a doubt a great product.I recommend it.

    From the packaging all the way to the replaceable fire-steels, every aspect of this product is just outstanding quality. The capsule is large enough to store a tinder tab and the replaceable fire-steel throws large amounts of sparks. Great item for the fire-steel loop on my knife sheath.

    I got this to ad to my survival keychain. Size is still ok considering i can add fuel to the capsule, enough for 3-5 fire starts. Works very well, big hot sparks. Ready to burn at moments notice thanks to Exotac. 💪👍😃
