Improperly sized at the manufacturer.
These seem to be nice quality except they are wider than a standard 10 frame hive. A standard hive is 16 1/4 inches wide (16.25") and these are 16.44". This leaves a lip on the sides of your hive for dirt and moisture to collect. I ended up cutting them down and mounting them in a wooden frame the proper size for a hive. They are nice now but if you don't have the tools to do this you would likely be better off buying one sized properly. Too much modification had to be preformed for me to recommend them. As a note - the ones I have purchased from other bee supply houses have all been the proper size. It may be that the specs sent to China to make them were interpreted as 16.44 vice 16 1/4 and no one realized it when they were shipped. Yes - they are also made in China. Not a deal breaker for me IF they had been the proper size bit these are not.
